What's covered in this Skillgym?

Have you ever felt like you’re caught up in ‘innovation theatre’? Like the work you’re doing is all post-its and no substance, all ideation and no impact? This is an event about cutting through the bullsh*t of the innovation world, and trying to understand what enables us to do real, meaningful innovation work.

To crack this tricky topic open, we’ll be tackling some of the big questions that are often off-limits or taboo. Where’s the line between innovation theatre and real innovation? How do designers, consultants and companies make sure they’re on the right side of it? How do we measure something as intangible as ‘innovation’ to find out if we’re actually making an impact? And what can we learn from the stories of seasoned experts in this field?

We’ll be joined by a brilliant panel of local innovators from both inside and outside of industry to help us pull back the curtains on innovation theatre and find a way to innovate with minimum viable bullsh*t:

Nikki Madden, Manager of Innovation and Product Development at Water Corporation

Kate Chaney, Director of Innovation and Strategy at Anglicare WA

Karina McCrohan, Acting Director of Capability & Change at Department of Transport

Jethro Sercombe, Director of Innovation Practice at Innovation Unit

Your ticket includes a light meal and refreshments.

Limited spaces, so make sure you register today!
