What's covered in this Skillgym?

At the beginning of 2021, we're one shaky step into a decade that will define history. A cascade of crises threaten our health, our economies and our ecosystems - but in every crisis there are opportunities to be found, and the past year has also proven our capacity for resilience, innovation and empathy.

In the absence of a real Department of Futures, we decided to convene some of Western Australia's leading thinkers to help us codesign a report about what the future looks like for us here in WA.

Launching publicly for the first time at this event, 'A Vision for the Modern Age' report showcases exclusive data from our Future of Work Index diagnostic tool, and paints four distinct scenarios for what the future of work and life might be like. Explore the report ahead of the event.

We'd love to have you join us for a 'Lunch & Launch' as we hear from our panel of Western Australia's top leaders and innovators who'll be sharing their insights, predictions and recommendations for the future.

  • Adam Jorlen - A Perth based futurist who runs a sustainable economy group called Enkel.
  • Georgia Hay - Works for the Future of Work Institute and recently completed a PhD in work futures.
  • Romy Lawson - An Academic Development Practitioner who has been at the forefront of university innovation for over a decade.

Your ticket includes a light meal and refreshments, and a limited number of printed copies of the report will be available on the day.

Limited spaces, so secure your place!
